Spot description
Steps from Habyer Straße lead to northeast-shore lawn. S to SW reaches access across open water. More wind can bring short steep waves. Shallow water has stones, including a larger one about 50 metres right of access. Summer plants may reach near surface. This access is not designated for wingfoiling.
More spot information
South to southwest works best, particularly southwest. South and sectors from south-southwest to west-southwest are also usable.
The lake is usually choppy. Stronger wind can produce steep small waves near shore. Stones lie in the shallows; summer plants locally reach near the surface.
Use official Hoheluft surf access on Habyer Straße. Steps from parking descend to the rigging lawn and shore.
Foils risk contact with stones, some larger, in the partly standing-depth shore area. A larger stone lies about 50 m right of access. Insufficient clearance can ground or strike foils. Summer plants locally reach near the surface. The southeastern and southwestern lake corners are watersports exclusion zones. This access is therefore not designated for wingfoiling.
