Spot description
The sheltered Isefjord launch offers mostly calm water. Many wind directions are possible; northeast is unfavourable, while sustained south to southwest can build wind waves. Shells lie along shore, so footwear helps when entering and exiting.
More spot information
At the exposed Kattegat beach, west to north-northwest are particularly good directions. At the sheltered Isefjord launch many angles retain a standing-depth area; northeast is less favourable, and sustained south to southwest can build longer wind waves.
Long, very shallow standing-depth area with mostly calm water. Sustained south to southwest wind creates wind waves; shell beds lie near shore.
Drive to beach access at Lynæs Havnevej 8. Parking is at the harbour and near the beach; access is via the beach or swimming platform.
Near the beach are parking, café/kiosk, playground, swimming platform and summer lifeguards. Lynæs Surfcenter is directly behind the beach.
Shell beds lie in the shallow area and can damage fins and injure unprotected feet. South to southwest increases wind waves; allow enough reserve for the long standing-depth area and return.
