Spot description
At the end of Strandweg the sandy beach leads into Dänische Wiek's shallow standing-depth area. Westerlies reach the shore but sometimes arrive gusty. Strong southwest can create short waves at the breakwater. Stones lie in shallow water. Keep clear of the harbour exit and moored boats.
More spot information
Southwest and northwest are cross-onshore, west onshore. Wind near shore can be gusty; southwest is an important alternative when Usedom's Baltic coast is in a wind shadow.
Large flat-water and standing-depth area with sandy beach. Strong southwest can create small jumping ramps near the breakwater. Stones lie in nearshore water in places.
Walk from parking at Strandweg's end to the natural beach.
Water slopes very gently; watch shallow depth when mounting and after falls. Isolated stones lie near land. To the right are buoys, moored boats and a harbour exit with breakwater. Watch for other watersports users; the stony very shallow shoreline area is unsuitable for foil sports.
