Spot description
More spot information
The appropriate launch side changes with the monsoon. At the designated watersports centre, seasonal wind crosses the lagoon cross-shore to cross-onshore. Allow around 15–30 kn as a seasonal planning range; confirm direction, gusts and access with the resort centre beforehand.
Behind the jetty, the lagoon is usually flat and close to standing depth; more chop outside. Coral heads and sandbanks become shallow at low tide.
No public beach access. Launch from the shore at the Ocean Watersports Centre; accommodation and transfers must be booked and confirmed through Kuredu Resort. Explicitly ask about kite services before travelling.
The resort operates a watersports centre offering windsurfing. Kitesurfing rental and lessons are not consistently listed in the current resort programme; obtain written confirmation before booking.
Reef and coral heads, shallow areas at low tide, boat traffic at the jetty, breakwaters and groynes. Chop increases outside the sheltered area. Do not launch into navigation channels or swimming zones.
