More spot information
According to the source dataset all wind directions work; all 16 compass sectors are therefore marked as main directions. North/northeast: offshore. South: onshore.
North/northeast: flat water in offshore wind. South: choppy water in onshore wind. These two directional assignments are stored structurally; small waves remain a general water feature.
In the coastal village of Fanari, about 30 km southwest of Komotini; near the long Fanari and Arogi beaches and lagoon area.
Shallow beach in a sensitive lagoon landscape with summer swimming activity. Observe local protected-area and swimming zones. An online source about the neighbouring Fanari-Arogi coast describes a different wind exposure; it is treated here as a neighbouring section rather than a direct condition source.
