More spot information
East, southeast and southwest are documented for the kitesurfing spot. Southeast brings the most pronounced waves; south to southwest becomes increasingly cross-on to cross-shore.
Wide sandy beach with a large shallow standing-depth zone at low water, and smaller to medium waves in suitable wind and higher water.
Access via parking at the southern beach end. The designated rigging and launch area is directly north of parking; launch and land exclusively there.
Public beach parking; seasonal facilities and watersports services nearby.
The beach is in North Bull Island nature reserve. Kite rigging, launching and landing are restricted to the marked southern-end area. Watch for swimmers, birds, tide and extensive low-water standing-depth areas.
