Spot description
Park at the beach car park west of Bulbjerg; access crosses dunes. For the beachbreak carry equipment upwind towards Lild Strand. The reef wave is farther downwind at the chalk cliff's foot and accessible from the stony shore. Both zones share parking but differ greatly in wave shape and risk.
More spot information
At the beach west to west-northwest works sideshore to cross-onshore; northeast can bring a good beachbreak wave sideshore. The reef works best in strong west-northwest, with a narrow west to west-northwest window.
Beach zone with shorebreak and powerful jumping ramps; farther downwind a reef wave runs clean in suitable conditions. Rocks and noticeable current lie between bay and reef.
Follow the road towards Bulbjerg to beach parking west of the cliff. For the beachbreak walk upwind from the passage towards Lild Strand; for the reef carry equipment downwind along the cliff's stony foot to the launch.
Strong current, shorebreak and many stones in the water. The rock slab off the cliff and Skarreklit remains lie just below or above water; keep well clear. Above 25 knots surf becomes very demanding. Wear footwear and do not launch alone.
